MAP Math Practice
Missouri Assessment Program Grade-Level Assessments. MAP is built on standards derived from Common Core. Briveli's CC-aligned curriculum covers the same skills.
Spring (April-May)

About the MAP
The Missouri Assessment Program Grade-Level Assessments measure student progress against the Missouri Learning Standards, which the State Board of Education adopted in 2016 to replace Missouri's earlier Common Core adoption. The standards retain heavy CCSS-M overlap, particularly in the K-8 progression of Number, Operations, and Algebraic Thinking, so Common Core practice continues to align well with the MAP blueprint. The assessment is contracted to a vendor (currently Cambium Assessment) and delivered online through DRC INSIGHT or vendor-equivalent platforms depending on the contract cycle.
Math items include multiple choice, multi-select, drag-and-drop, equation editor, and short constructed response. The state reports four levels, with Proficient as the ESSA bar, plus sub-scores by reporting category. Missouri publishes annual blueprints that show the percent of points coming from each domain, and Briveli practice tracks those weights closely. Particular emphasis lands on fraction reasoning and multi-step word problems in grades 4-5, ratios and proportional relationships in grade 6-7, and linear equations and functions in grade 8.
