About Briveli

Briveli started with a simple observation: most math apps for kids are designed to keep them on the app, not to help them get better at math. They throw rewards at every tap, drop scores when a kid misses a problem, and turn nightly practice into a streak-anxiety loop. Parents we talked to didn't want any of that. They wanted their kid to spend fifteen quiet minutes on real math, walk away feeling capable, and come back tomorrow because the work feels good.

That's the product we set out to build. Adaptive problems that meet a child exactly where they are. No punitive scoring. No advertising. No cumulative point total that can ever go down. Just steady forward motion through a Common-Core-aligned K-8 curriculum, with one short weekly email to the parent so they actually know what's clicking and what isn't.

Briveli is built by Shivam Patel, a software engineer and parent who spent the last several years working on tools for highly regulated industries. The conviction that drives Briveli is the same one that drives that work: software that touches kids — or any vulnerable user — should be honest about what it does, careful about what it collects, and strict about what it shows.

We're a small, independent team. There are no investors pushing growth at all costs, no advertisers shaping the content. The only people we answer to are the parents paying for the product. That's the relationship we want to keep.

Three things shape every product decision we make:

• Mastery, not engagement. The goal is for a kid to actually understand the math, not to spend the most minutes inside the app. A short, focused session beats a long distracted one every time.
• Parent-controlled by default.Children never make accounts, set passwords, or hand us their email. Parents own the data, set the schedule, and can delete everything with one click. That's how it should be.
• K-8, done well.We don't cover algebra II, SAT prep, or everything in between. We cover Kindergarten through 8th-grade math, aligned to Common Core State Standards, with the kind of skill-by-skill progression that lets kids build genuine confidence.
