About the LEAP 2025

LEAP 2025 is Louisiana's annual summative assessment for grades 3-8 in English language arts, math, social studies, and science. The math portion is anchored to the Louisiana Student Standards for Mathematics, a state-customized version of Common Core that the Louisiana Department of Education publishes alongside grade-level companion documents. LEAP 2025 uses Common Core-style reporting categories - Major, Supporting, and Additional clusters - and items run from procedural single-step problems through multi-step modeling tasks.
