About enVision Math
enVision Math is one of the two best-selling K-8 math programs in the United States. The program is built around problem-based learning: each lesson opens with a "Solve & Share" task that asks students to grapple with a new idea before any direct instruction, then moves to a "Visual Learning" segment that formalizes the idea, and finishes with guided and independent practice. Topics in enVision are bundled into 16 numbered units (called "Topics") per grade in the K-5 program and roughly 8 in the 6-8 program, with each Topic spanning 5-12 lessons.
enVision is widely used in suburban districts and charter networks, partly because of the strong digital interactive student edition and partly because the topic structure makes it easy to map to district pacing guides. Briveli's mapping treats each enVision Topic as a single landing target so a parent who hears their kid is "starting Topic 8" can jump directly to the right ladder of practice problems. The mapping is conservative: a Topic with both a primary and secondary skill gets both Briveli topics tagged.
